Agartala: Tripura Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb met spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Bengaluru this Tuesday to celebrate the leader's 70th birthday and the 45th anniversary of the Art of Living foundation. During the event, Deb praised India's spiritual heritage and the historical influence of the country's ancient traditions.

Deb highlighted the global impact of the Art of Living movement, noting that Ravi Shankar has shared Indian values and messages of peace with 185 nations. He reflected on India's past, citing institutions like Nalanda as evidence of the nation's long history as a center for education and spiritual wisdom.

The former Chief Minister also credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the country's current economic progress, which has seen India become the fifth-largest economy in the world. He emphasized that current workers and leaders are dedicated to the vision of transforming India into a Vishwa Guru. He argued that the spiritual practices promoted by Ravi Shankar are essential tools for helping people manage the stress of modern society.
