Agartala: Bangladesh High Commissioner to India, M. Riaz Hamidullah, pulled into the Agartala railway station on Wednesday. He traveled by train from New Delhi to attend the Destination Tripura Business Conclave-2026. The two-day event starts Thursday and runs through Friday.

Hasan Al Bashar Abul Ulayee met the High Commissioner at the station. Hamidullah stands as a special guest for the conference. The event aims to pull in diplomats, industry bosses, and policymakers to hash out better regional connectivity and cross-border deals.

The diplomat dismissed concerns about regional instability. He maintained that the economic partnership remains solid. "I will talk and I am here and not going anywhere. Trade between India and Bangladesh is in good condition and will continue to remain good," he said.
