Guwahati: All India United Democratic Front president Badruddin Ajmal wants a tighter grip from the INDIA bloc. He told reporters in Guwahati that opposition parties need to stop fearing the BJP. He believes the power dynamic will shift. "Eventually, it will be PM Modi's turn. People will break him too. We should not be afraid."
Ajmal views Rahul Gandhi as the key leader for this coalition. He insists the group must stay firm to survive. Without a united front, the opposition is just spinning its wheels. Internal squabbles ruined their chances in West Bengal, according to Ajmal.
He pointed to the friction between alliance partners during the recent polls. If Gandhi had skipped contesting in West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee might be in a better spot. One party should not step on another's toes during an election. The alliance must fix these coordination gaps now if they want a real shot at beating the BJP in future fights.
