Itanagar: A verification drive at Sangam Tinali in Pangin resulted in the discovery of more than 150 individuals traveling without valid Inner Line Permits on Friday. The Siang District Unit of ST Bachao Andolan led the operation to screen non-local travelers, working alongside officers from the Siang District Police and Pangin Police to ensure compliance with state entry regulations.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Togum Gongo praised the volunteers for their efforts in enforcing these requirements. He warned violators to adhere to the rules immediately, cautioning that officials will implement stricter measures if individuals continue to disregard the law.

The ST Bachao Andolan organization stated that the initiative aims to safeguard the interests of the indigenous tribal communities of Arunachal Pradesh. The team reported that the inspection concluded peacefully and confirmed that local authorities maintained order throughout the entire process.
