Guwahati: Girijananda Chowdhury University in Assam is now taking applications for two fresh undergraduate degrees. Students can enroll in either a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Data Science or a B.Sc. in Economics and Data Science. These courses mix core subject training with data analytics to prep students for jobs in finance, tech, and research.
The school opened the doors to everyone. Graduates from Arts, Science, and Commerce streams qualify for the programs. The university claims the move aligns with the National Education Policy 2020. "The initiative is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aims to provide greater academic flexibility and improved career opportunities for students," the school stated.
GCU also rolled out a lateral entry path. It targets students from outside institutions wanting to jump into the fourth year. To qualify, students must have 120 credits and zero backlogs. Credit transfers depend on university rules. Admissions remain open. Call 9678703293 or 9101994738 for details.
