Assam Rifles hosts memorial bike rally for Ashok Chakra recipient Hangpan Dada

Itanagar: The Khonsa Battalion of the Assam Rifles hosted a memorial bike rally in Arunachal Pradesh on May 25 to honor the legacy of Ashok Chakra awardee Hangpan Dada. The event marked the 10th anniversary of his passing, known as Balidan Diwas, as participants rode from the Deomali Helipad to the soldier's memorial in Borduria.

Roughly 70 people joined the tribute, including local civilians, youth, and members of the Assam Rifles. Riders carried messages throughout the journey that promoted national unity, peace, and appreciation for the sacrifices made by armed forces personnel.

The rally ended at the memorial site where attendees laid floral tributes to the fallen soldier. Officials stated that the event was designed to preserve the ideals of Hangpan Dada and inspire local youth by highlighting his commitment to the nation.
