Assam Police Seize Rs 1 Crore in Yaba Tablets

Guwahati: Sribhumi police netted a massive haul of narcotics on July 11. Officers confiscated 10,000 Yaba tablets during the operation. The street value sits at roughly Rs 1 crore. Authorities locked up two suspects in connection with the bust.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the department on X for the successful raid. The state government is keeping the pressure on trafficking networks through its ongoing campaign. Highlighting the win, Sarma wrote, "Breaking Bad? Not in Assam."

He commended the team for stopping the flow of illegal drugs. The Chief Minister added that the police are working to ensure traffickers do not get a sequel. This remains a top priority for his administration.
