Guwahati: Himangshu Jyoti Gohain, the Officer-in-Charge of Maibang Police Station in Assam's Dima Hasao district, received a formal commendation letter from the Director General of Police. The award recognizes Gohain for his professional competence and his ongoing commitment to maintaining law and order in the region.
The honor follows a successful police operation led by Gohain. During the mission, he secured the arrest of an accused individual and recovered an AK-56 rifle, a magazine, eight live rounds of ammunition, and additional incriminating evidence.
Reflecting on the recognition, Gohain expressed his gratitude to the DGP. He stated, "I am humbled and honoured to receive this recognition. It inspires me to perform my duties with even greater dedication and sincerity." He also credited the achievement to the support of his colleagues and the local community.
