Assam Police Officer Honored for Exceptional Service in Dima Hasao

Guwahati: Himangshu Jyoti Gohain, the Officer-in-Charge of Maibang Police Station in Assam's Dima Hasao district, received a formal commendation letter from the Director General of Police. The award recognizes Gohain for his professional competence and his ongoing commitment to maintaining law and order in the region.

The honor follows a successful police operation led by Gohain. During the mission, he secured the arrest of an accused individual and recovered an AK-56 rifle, a magazine, eight live rounds of ammunition, and additional incriminating evidence.
