Guwahati: Assam police smashed a major drug pipeline in Sribhumi, seizing 11,695 bottles of illicit syrup. Officers valued the haul at ₹2.34 crore. The raid landed three suspects behind bars.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the arrests on Thursday. He credited the Sribhumi Police for the operation. The seizure marks a win for the state government, which is pushing hard to clean up the streets.

Sarma pledged to keep up the heat on traffickers. He stated, "Assam Police would continue its efforts against drug trafficking and related activities under the Assam Against Drugs initiative."

The state remains fixed on its anti-drug campaign. Officials say they will not back down.
