Guwahati: Assam Police arrested two men on drug trafficking charges following an operation in the Rakhasini area of the Goalpara district. The suspects, identified as Mokaddes Ali and Sahar Ali, were taken into custody after authorities discovered 6.61 grams of suspected heroin hidden inside five containers.

This arrest is part of a broader, intensified campaign across Assam to dismantle local drug supply chains. Police have been conducting frequent raids across multiple districts to disrupt trafficking networks and remove narcotics from circulation.

Authorities have officially registered a case against the two men. Investigators are currently working to trace the origin of the seized contraband and identify other individuals who may be connected to this specific distribution network.
