Guwahati: Construction crews are hitting the home stretch in Boko. Minister Ajanta Neog inspected the Bongaon camp site this Sunday to check progress on a sprawling welfare project. The facility carries an 82.58 crore price tag and aims to serve both children and seniors.
The project will wrap up in three months. It stands as the second largest integrated care site in Asia. The campus pulls together specialized child housing and medical support for the elderly into one location.
Neog walked the grounds with department officials to look at the infrastructure. She spoke to reporters about the specific design goals for the site. "The Child Care Centre has been designed to provide age-specific accommodation for children, ensuring appropriate care and support based on their age groups," Neog stated. The state intends to use the site to bolster social support for vulnerable residents across the region.
