Assam MP Jogen Mohan donates first salary to state relief fund

Guwahati: Rajya Sabha member Jogen Mohan handed over his first month's salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund on Saturday, July 4. He met Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at his Guwahati office to deliver the donation. Money talks. The funds go toward helping citizens hit by medical emergencies or natural disasters.

The Chief Minister thanked Mohan for the contribution. His office highlighted the donation in a post on X, noting the MP's focus on public service. "In a generous gesture towards community welfare, Hon'ble MP Shri @JogenMohanAssam today handed over his first month's salary to HCM Dr. @himantabiswa as a contribution to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund," the CMO stated. Mohan previously served as a minister in the state government.
