Guwahati: Assam Minister Atul Bora inaugurated the reconstructed Dusutimukh Gaon Panchayat office in his home constituency of Bokakhat on June 21. Located under the Golaghat West Development Block, the project received funding through the 15th Finance Commission scheme. The initiative aims to strengthen grassroots governance while improving the standard of public service delivery for rural residents.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Bora met with staff and local officials at the site to discuss the future of the facility. He challenged the team to use the updated infrastructure to increase administrative efficiency. He noted that well-equipped institutions are essential for the success of state welfare efforts, stating that these buildings "play a vital role in accelerating rural development and ensuring the effective implementation of government welfare programmes."
The event drew a diverse crowd, including local residents, Zilla Parishad members, and the President of the Golaghat West Anchalik Panchayat. Representatives from the BJP, AGP, and SGSA were also present to mark the occasion alongside the Block Development Officer and Panchayat staff.
