Assam Minister Ajanta Neog Orders Faster Project Delivery in Kamrup

Guwahati: Assam Guardian Minister Ajanta Neog chaired a District Development Committee review meeting on Wednesday in Amingaon. As the Minister for Women and Child Development and Tourism, Neog met with local officials to evaluate the status of infrastructure and government schemes currently underway in Kamrup district.

During the session at the Integrated District Commissioner's Office, Neog pushed for greater accountability and streamlined governance. She issued a directive requiring officials to process all project proposals within 24 hours to prevent administrative delays. She stated that developmental initiatives should be executed efficiently without compromising on quality.

Neog instructed department heads to strictly follow project deadlines while maintaining high standards of transparency. To improve monitoring, she ordered officials to provide constituency-specific reports to local legislators, aiming to strengthen communication between government departments and elected representatives.

The meeting included MLAs Diganta Kalita, Rekibuddin Ahmed, and Prakash Chandra Das. District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra and Senior Superintendent of Police Subhasish Baruah also attended, alongside various department heads, to align local project execution with broader state government objectives.
