Itanagar: A landslide killed Rupam Rabha in the Walong area of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday night. The 35-year-old from Boko, Assam, died while operating an earthmoving machine at a construction site. He was working at around 8:30 pm when the ground gave way. A massive surge of mud and rocks buried his machine and killed him instantly.

Rabha moved to the mountainous border region to find work. He was a dedicated operator supporting his family. He leaves behind his wife and a four-year-old son. His native village, Bongaon Burhigaon, is now in mourning as neighbors remember him as a "hardworking individual" who provided for his household. Local officials confirm he died at the spot under the heavy debris.
