Assam Election Chief Inspects Morigaon Readiness

Guwahati: Assam Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Goel held a review meeting on Tuesday, August 25. He met with officials at the District Commissioner's office in Morigaon. The visit focused on the state of the upcoming bye-election. The district must be ready.

District Commissioner Srishti Singh briefed Goel on administrative steps taken so far. The team inspected logistical planning and the deployment of Electronic Voting Machines. Every election cell requires total coordination.

Goel ordered officials to hit every deadline set by the Election Commission of India. Compliance is mandatory. He told the staff to complete all necessary preparations within the stipulated timelines and ensure strict compliance with the guidelines and instructions issued by the Election Commission of India.

Key local leaders attended the session. Participants included District Development Commissioner Orpah Baglari, Zila Parishad CEO Satyajit Chetia, and various additional commissioners. Election officers and circle staff also sat in on the review to confirm operational protocols.
