Instead of working his designated post, he allegedly took a secret job at Nagaon Bhogeswari Phukanani Civil Hospital. He has worked there for two years without a spot on the official duty roster.
Reports suggest a messy arrangement. Sharma allegedly takes bribes from other doctors to cover their shifts. His behavior during night duty is under fire. Witnesses claim he regularly shows up drunk and abusive toward patients and staff. In one instance, he reportedly tried to assault a hospital worker. The authorities are now scrambling to explain how he managed to trade his primary duties for this unauthorized role at the Nagaon facility.
