Guwahati: Assam Agriculture Minister Pijush Hazarika toured the Jajikona Seed Farm in Kamalpur on July 11. He walked the rows to inspect operations and talk shop with the local workforce. The minister checked on the quality of seed production and assessed how the Assam Seed Corporation Limited handles current demand.
Hazarika spent hours listening to feedback on how the state can boost output and fix gaps in the current system. He pushed for modern farming methods to keep the sector moving forward. During the visit, he took a moment to show appreciation for the daily grind of the laborers.
"Spending time with farmers brings a different kind of joy," Hazarika said. The minister expects a big season ahead. He promised that the government remains focused on supplying better seeds and resources to keep the harvest heavy.
