Arunachal STF Officer Gangphung Gangsa Wins National Police Gold

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Special Task Force officer Gangphung Gangsa struck gold. He dominated the 11th All India Police Games 2026-27 to bring home the top prize. The athlete hails from the Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu broke the news on X. He hailed the win as a major victory for the state. Khandu specifically praised Gangsa for balancing his dangerous duties as an STF officer with his high-level career as a martial artist. The Chief Minister expects even more from him in the future.

Khandu stated, "Congratulations to Shri Gangphung Gangsa of Longding district on winning the Gold Medal at the 11th All India Police Games 2026-27. Excelling both as a dedicated officer of the Special Task Force and as a national-level martial artist is truly commendable." The state government maintains that this feat showcases total discipline and grit.
