Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein announced that the Subbung and Yembung small hydroelectric projects in the East Siang district are now synchronized in local grid mode. This development aims to bolster the state power infrastructure by allowing the two stations to operate in a coordinated manner.

By functioning together, these facilities can achieve better load sharing and improved plant load factors. This integration marks a significant improvement in energy management and overall network efficiency for the region.

The state government plans to expand this system further with the upcoming Mabung Mini Hydel Station. Once that project is commissioned, it will join Subbung and Yembung in a common grid. This interconnected network is expected to increase the reliability of electricity distribution and support broader efforts to expand hydropower capabilities across Arunachal Pradesh.
