Itanagar: The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has officially launched the fifth edition of the Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Development Programme, known as APEDP 5.0. This initiative seeks to bolster the local startup ecosystem by supporting self-help groups, innovators, and entrepreneurs across the state.

Under the new scheme, 100 selected startups will receive financial backing and incubation resources. The program allocates Rs 10 lakh each to the top 20 ventures, while the remaining 80 participants will each receive Rs 8 lakh in seed funding. Beyond capital, these entrepreneurs will enter a nine-month incubation program at the Arunachal Pradesh Innovation and Investment Park.

Participants will gain access to mentorship, professional networking, co-working spaces, and market strategies designed to help them scale their businesses. State authorities aim to foster a culture of job creation and innovation, noting that the initiative will help "transform innovative ideas into sustainable business ventures."

Interested individuals can apply through the state startup portal. The deadline for all submissions is July 20, 2026.
