Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu honored Inspector General of Police Chukhu Apa on Friday as the officer officially retired from his long tenure in the force. During the farewell, Khandu praised Apa for his lifelong commitment to service, discipline, and duty while maintaining law and order across the state.
Khandu highlighted the retiring officer’s courage and integrity, noting that his career remained defined by consistent professionalism and a focus on public safety. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for Apa’s contributions to both the state and the nation.
Offering his best wishes for the transition, Khandu said he hopes the coming years bring Apa health, peace, and quality time with his loved ones. The ceremony marked the end of a decades-long career for the IGP, who held several key responsibilities while serving in uniform.
