Arunachal Pradesh Athletes Secure Six Medals at Kudo Nationals

Itanagar: A team of 11 athletes from Arunachal Pradesh has made a strong impression at the 4th Kudo National Championship Cup in Pune, bringing home a total of six medals. The national competition began on May 16 and is scheduled to conclude on May 22.

Hui Tajum led the way for the squad by winning gold in the Above 31 Men PI 250 category. Yapi Paksok also claimed a gold medal, finishing at the top of the podium in the Above 21 Female PI 250 division.

Four other team members earned bronze medals across various weight divisions. Tam Lapang and Tarak Dolu Bai secured third-place finishes in the Above 21 Men PI 250 and Above 31 Men PI 250 categories, respectively. Gii Doke achieved bronze in the Above 21 Female PI 220 division, while Tabit Taggu took bronze in the Above 21 Men PI 210 category.

The Arunachal delegation competed under the guidance of state association president Hura Gambo Tarh and general secretary Tater Hui. Techi Tagung accompanied the athletes to the event, serving as both their coach and manager.
