Arunachal Pradesh Artists Honoured by Sangeet Natak Akademi

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has congratulated local artists Rumi Taki and Domin Karbak after they received prestigious recognition from the Sangeet Natak Akademi. The awards celebrate their significant efforts in maintaining and promoting the cultural identity of the region.

Rumi Taki earned the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for her work in traditional folk dance and folk theatre. Domin Karbak received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for his dedication to preserving and enriching the indigenous traditions of the state.

Chief Minister Khandu praised the achievements of the artists, noting that the honors reflect the state's vibrant history. He stated, "Khandu described the honours as a testament to the rich cultural legacy of Arunachal Pradesh and the dedication of artists who continue to safeguard and promote the state's traditional art forms."

The Chief Minister expressed hope that these accomplishments will encourage younger generations to embrace and protect the diverse cultural heritage found throughout Arunachal Pradesh. He also extended his best wishes to both recipients for their future creative endeavors.
