Itanagar: Arunachal Police dismantled a local drug ring on June 25. Officers from the Niti Vihar station and the Special Action Team moved in after getting a tip about heroin trafficking in the area. They made two arrests and grabbed a stash of cash.
Cops first hit a home in Senki Park. They arrested 29-year-old Johnson Dulom after finding 12 vials of suspected heroin and 13,100 rupees in cash. The search happened under the NDPS Act with witnesses watching the entire process.
Dulom sang during questioning. He pointed police toward his supplier, sparking a high-stakes follow-up hunt near 6 Kilo on NH-415. Officers eventually caught up to Duri Dakpe on his Honda Dio scooter. They found 17 more vials and 4,580 rupees in his possession.
The operation netted 29 vials of heroin and 17,680 rupees total. Police have officially registered the case under "Sections 21(b) and 27A of the NDPS Act." Investigators are currently picking apart the supply chain to find the remaining members of the drug network.
