Itanagar: Apatani Fashion Week wrapped up in Hija village on July 2. The event ditched standard pageant gear for traditional Apatani dress. Organizers claimed the move honors deep cultural roots. They want the winners to act as ambassadors for their identity.

Designers Hibu Ollo, Leegang Ozeen, and Taru Monya took the stage. They mixed classic Apatani elements with modern looks. One themed segment, "Colours of Apatani", pushed this fusion to the limit. The crowd also watched performances from the Dani Haj Puna Clan and other local dance groups.

Tadu Bini grabbed the top female spot. Hano Sumpi and Hage Konya followed as runners-up. Nani Hao won the men’s title, with Mihin Lento and Tallo Doding rounding out the top three. Judges handed out trophies, cash, and certificates to the victors.

Additional awards recognized individual talents like Best Runway Walk and Best Contemporary Styling. General Secretary Kago Jorang thanked the crowd at the end. The event keeps growing as a hub for local weavers and models to show off their craft to a wider audience.
