Arunachal Leaders Send Birthday Wishes to Dalai Lama

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his deputy, Chowna Mein, sent birthday greetings to the Dalai Lama on Monday. The spiritual leader turned 91. The state officials highlighted his long record of promoting global harmony.

Khandu posted his well wishes online. He prayed for the leader to remain strong. "Warm birthday greetings to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. May His Holiness be blessed with good health, long life and continued strength to guide the world with his timeless message of peace, compassion and harmony," the Chief Minister said.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein added his own praise. He called the Dalai Lama a global symbol for wisdom and non-violence. Mein noted that these teachings continue to push humanity toward mutual understanding.

Rural Development Minister Ojing Tasing also joined the chorus of birthday wishes. He described the Tibetan figure as a beacon of love and universal brotherhood. Tasing said he wants the leader to stay healthy so his work can keep helping people across the globe.
