Arunachal Karate Athletes Secure 17 Medals at National Championship

Itanagar: Athletes from the Arunachal Pradesh Amateur Karate-Do Association returned home with a significant haul of 17 medals after competing in the 5th KIO Sub-Junior, Cadet and Junior Karate Championship. Held in Uttarakhand and organized by the Karate India Organisation, the tournament featured participants from across the country competing in both kata and kumite events.

The Arunachal contingent claimed 8 gold, 7 silver, and 2 bronze medals during the competition. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein commended the team for their performance and recognized the collective effort behind their success.

"This achievement reflects the dedication, discipline and fighting spirit of our young athletes, coaches and support team," Mein stated. He offered his congratulations to the medalists and staff, expressing his hope that the team continues to find success at national and international levels.
