Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh flood deaths reached seven yesterday. Police pulled the body of 43-year-old Taw Ajini from the Lichi area in Papum Pare district on July 9. The State Emergency Operation Centre confirmed the recovery after a search spanning more than two weeks.

Flash floods at Possa in Keyi Panyor district swept Ajini away on June 24. Rescue teams hunted for her ever since that incident. Officials stated that "search efforts had been ongoing since the incident." Relief work continues across the state as residents deal with the aftermath of the disaster.
