Arunachal Congress Targets Education Minister Over NEET Scandals

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Congress kicked off the Chhatron Ki Goonj movement on June 25 in Kra Daadi district. They want the Union Education Minister out. Party officials blamed the ministry for widespread student harassment and suicides linked to NEET exams.

Tap Tapum led the briefing alongside local committee leaders from Tali and Kra Daadi. They argue the government failed to protect students. The campaign is part of a larger Indian National Congress drive pushed by opposition leader Rahul Gandhi.

The push started June 17 at a massive rally in Kota, Rajasthan. On June 25, the party staged a nationwide blitz. Twenty-eight leaders held simultaneous press conferences in twenty-eight cities. They hope to turn student grievances into a national issue. Organizers defined the scope of the mission clearly: "Chhatron Ki Goonj" is a nationwide student-centric campaign initiated by the Indian National Congress under the leadership of Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
