Arunachal CM Welcomes New Monpa Mimang Tsogpa Leadership

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has extended his congratulations to the newly elected Central Executive Team of the Monpa Mimang Tsogpa. The organization, which serves as the apex body for the Monpa community, selected Phurpa Wangyal as its new president and Tsering Sonam as secretary general.

Khandu expressed strong support for the group's decision to create two new departments focused on Health and Wellness and Customs and Traditions. He noted that these sectors serve as essential pillars for a resilient society by fostering community well-being while safeguarding cultural heritage. The Chief Minister stated the new initiatives would further strengthen the organization in its role of serving the public.

Reflecting on the organization's future, the Chief Minister said, "The new initiatives would further strengthen the organisation's role in serving the community and preserving its rich traditions." Khandu expressed confidence that the incoming team will lead the organization to greater heights through dedicated service and a clear vision for the progress of the Monpa people.
