Itanagar: Rupa Bayor has secured a bronze medal for India at the 9th Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships 2026. The Arunachal Pradesh athlete earned the recognition for her performance on the international stage, marking a significant milestone for both her state and the Northeast region.
Beyond her podium finish, officials presented Bayor with the Best Female Fighting Spirit Award at the close of the competition. Her success has garnered widespread celebration throughout Arunachal Pradesh, where residents and leaders view her victory as a major boost for the development of women in sports.
