Itanagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Arunachal Pradesh jailed retired Divisional Forest Officer Chukhu Loma on September 13. He faces charges linked to a massive 31.93 crore rupee fund misappropriation. The arrest follows Case Number 09/2025.
Investigators claim Loma funneled government payments to private parties during his time running the Banderdewa Forest Division. Officials allege he worked with other public servants to commit forgery and steal public money. These financial irregularities remain the focus of the ongoing bureau probe.
Loma fell ill shortly after his capture. He complained of chest pain and general physical discomfort, forcing authorities to provide immediate medical attention. The bureau currently targets other government employees potentially linked to the scheme.
"The case reflected the government's resolve to curb financial irregularities and protect public funds," the ACB stated. Agents are still digging into the financial records to identify every person involved in the theft.
