Imphal: Unknown assailants torched a Bolero pickup truck in Pukhao Ahallup on Wednesday. The vehicle carried essential goods and electronics to Saikul. Gunmen stopped the truck during the day. They forced the driver out, set the cargo on fire, and ran. The truck burned to the ground.

Sagolmang Police launched an investigation into the arson. Just hours later, the same department seized a massive stash of weapons in the nearby Sanjenlok area. The haul included an AK rifle, a 9mm pistol, a country-made carbine, and two tube launchers.

Officers also found nineteen hand grenades, fifteen rounds of assorted ammunition, thirteen .303 cartridges, ten detonators, and nine magazines. Police confirmed, "All recovered weapons and explosives have been secured and handed over to the concerned police station for further legal proceedings." Authorities are currently processing the evidence.
