Armed Group Targets MLA Over Alleged 45 Crore Financial Scam

Imphal: The Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG) MC Unification group claims PAARI Mutual Benefit Nidhi Ltd., also known as Halal Finance, swindled investors out of 45.95 crore. The outfit launched a formal boycott against Kshetrigao MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan, citing his connection to the scheme. They intend to block his future electoral campaigns.

PRO Chingkheinganba released a statement detailing the group's findings. Investigators tracked exactly 45,95,35,000 mobilized from the public. The outfit insists meetings to lure investors took place inside the MLA's private residence. They are watching closely. The group vowed to take action against anyone involved in gathering funds for the firm.

The organization identified Social Welfare Director Sheikh Abdul Hakim as the company chairman. They also named several directors and associates connected to the MLA. "The organisation appealed to the public to remain vigilant, alleging that large sums had been collected from ordinary people at a time of worsening economic conditions in the state."
