Kohima: BJP lawmaker Anurag Thakur filed a formal complaint against opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. He submitted a privilege notice and contempt motion to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Thursday. Thakur claims Gandhi used unparliamentary language during a recent House session.
The three-page document targets comments Gandhi made while detailing a reported discussion with protesting students. Thakur asserts that these remarks constituted unsubstantiated allegations against Home Minister Amit Shah. He argues that the conduct violated Rule 352. The complaint specifically highlights what Thakur describes as the "use of unparliamentary and derogatory language and levelling grave and unsubstantiated allegations" against the Home Minister.
