AMSU Selects Two Aspirants for UPSC Coaching Sponsorship

Imphal: The All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) has selected two Civil Services aspirants from Manipur for its flagship Mission Lamjing initiative. This program aims to support promising students as they work toward careers in administration. The union chose Arambam Robertson and Bd Goldwyn Anal following a rigorous selection process that included an entrance test and interview held on June 7 and June 9, 2026.

AMSU Vice-President Prikeshwor Moirangthem noted the goal of the initiative, stating that the union conducted the assessment to identify "sincere and promising candidates aspiring to join the Civil Services." This marks the second time the organization has offered such a sponsorship.

The successful candidates will head to New Delhi to attend an 11-month course at Next IAS beginning June 15, 2026. The North East Students’ Organisation will cover the entire cost of the program, which includes Rs 2.5 lakh in tuition fees per student plus a monthly stipend of Rs 12,000. Selected aspirants must now report to the AMSU temporary office in Imphal to finalize their enrollment details.
