AMD University Launches Academic Accelerator Program in Pune

Imphal: AMD University launched its inaugural Indian initiative this week, hosting an Academic Accelerator Program at the JW Marriott in Pune. Organised in partnership with 3C IT Solutions and Telecoms India Limited and Savitribai Phule Pune University, the event gathered academic leaders to discuss the future of technology in higher education. Attendees included vice chancellors and researchers from institutions such as Shivaji, Raisoni, and Balaji University.

The program aims to embed Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, and quantum computing into formal studies while fostering a focus on practical skill-based learning. This event builds upon the work of the AMD Centre of Excellence, which has already established training programs in over 100 locations across India. These centers currently provide hands-on experience in robotics, automation, internet of things, and electric vehicles.

Shri Rannjit Maayengbam, the founder and managing director of 3C IT Solutions, emphasized the importance of updating the national academic framework. He argued for better technological infrastructure and the use of specialized instructors to align with the National Education Policy. He stated, "He called for the strengthening of technology infrastructure in schools and colleges and advocated the deployment of trained instructors to support the objectives of the National Education Policy and prepare students for future careers and entrepreneurship." AMD University continues to seek further partnerships with Indian colleges to expand its research and academic footprint.
