Agartala: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has selected Agartala as one of five cities nationwide to host fan park events for the TATA IPL 2026 playoffs. The Tripura Cricket Association confirmed the news on Wednesday, noting that the events will take place at the Swami Vivekananda Maidan, commonly known as Astabal.
Cricket fans in the capital can attend these screenings on May 29 for Qualifier 2 and May 31 for the tournament final. This selection marks a notable upgrade for the city, which previously hosted fan park activities in April 2025 as part of a larger nationwide rollout that spanned 50 cities.
The Tripura Cricket Association has scheduled a press meeting at Hotel Rajdhani on Thursday to share more information. Officials are expected to provide specific details regarding event timings, entry procedures, and the range of activities planned for the two high-stakes match days.
