Agartala Scholar Ayantika Das Secures PhD from IIT Madras

Agartala: Ayantika Das officially earned her Doctor of Philosophy from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras on July 6, 2026. She is an Agartala native. Her family confirmed the news.

The scholar focused her work on the complexities of brain image analysis and neurological health. Her thesis, titled "Unsupervised Modeling of Brain Images for Analysis, Diagnosis, and Prognosis of Neurological Diseases," centered on building models to identify and track brain ailments.

IIT Madras issued the formal certificate with signatures from the Director, the Registrar, and the Chairman of the Board of Governors. The document features an official seal, a digital QR code, and a photograph of Das. She is the daughter of Khela Nandi and advocate Alik Das. The family lives in Joynagar near JPC in Agartala.
