Agartala: Doctors at Agartala Government Medical College and GB Pant Hospital are keeping their private clinics open. The Teachers' Forum met on July 6 to address rumors of a new ban. They found no official paperwork stopping their side jobs. The status quo stands.

The group insists their current policy stays in place until officials act. They need a written directive to change course. Without a formal order, they refuse to stop.

The Forum released a firm statement during their meeting. "In the interest of ensuring uninterrupted patient care and public service, the existing policy permitting optional private practice shall continue to remain in force until an official Government notification or directive is issued by the competent authority," the organization stated.

Faculty members must keep working hard. The Forum told doctors to stay disciplined and follow all existing rules while they wait for the state to make a move. For now, the rules have not changed.
