Agartala: Agartala-based digital marketer and motorcyclist Koushik Das has secured a place in the India Book of Records. He earned the honor after successfully navigating his Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 to Tergola Pass, which ranks as the highest motorable road in Bhutan.
Das developed a passion for long-distance riding in 2016. His early ambition was fueled by a significant expedition from Agartala to Tawang and Bumla Pass in Arunachal Pradesh. Since then, he has consistently sought out demanding routes to test his endurance and experience new cultures.
His track record includes completing the Golden Quadrilateral ride in 2018, which connected India's four major metropolitan cities via the national highway network. He has also been a steady presence at the North East Riders Meet for nearly a decade.
A senior member of the Intrepidus Leones Tripura Motorcycle Club, Das attributes much of his success to the support of the local riding community. He balances his adventures with a professional career running his own digital marketing agency.
Looking forward, Das aims to tackle more challenging expeditions while advocating for responsible motorcycle touring. His recent milestone has brought significant positive attention to Tripura’s growing community of adventure riders.
